Hello beautiful people! Sending waves of honey-filled good vibes your way! Today’s post is more than exciting because I got to work with a super creative and inspiring lady by the name Sarah Waiswa.
Many of you know Sarah on the social media sphere as the amazing camera wielder @lafrohemien. Sarah is no stranger to the Cynosure blog as witnessed in our last cool project together.
I always get a bit bashful whenever someone asks for my photo to be taken. I don’t know whether it’s slight OCD or my photographer’s eye but whenever a photo opportunity arises I tend to run in the opposite direction. Photographers love taking photos but that often changes whenever they are placed in front of the lens.
I have never had this problem with Sarah. You see I trust her eye and her direction 100% so whenever we work together I always know the images will be true to form and absolutely magical.
It was a huge honor to have worked with her on her ‘Fashion Cities Africa’ Project. The project which involved documenting amazing designers and incredible fashion influencers in Africa saw Sarah commissioned by the British Museum, London to cover the individuals in Kenya that are making strides in fashion.
Kepha Maina is one of those individuals and I was elated to rock one of his dope designs for the project which will culminate in a book and exhibition scheduled for next year.
