I love my band 🙂
We have been playing together for close to a year now and I must admit that these guys have been such a blessing in my life. I may not be the most spiritual person in the world but I definitely believe in God and in a Higher power who controls everything in the world.
This post was just to share one of the inspiring words my bandmate Kim sent to me today to mark this new month.
I hope it makes you smile.
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skin would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skin (Matt 9:17). Jesus was speaking to the people who were well acquainted with them who made wine, wine was also used in meals. He used such so as to explain a spiritual truth. New wine would go through changes as it fermented, it wasn’t good to put it into old wineskins. Old wineskins were inflexible, had lost strength and elasticity, couldn’t stand the pressure & would eventually burst as the new wine underwent changes during fermentation.
Many times we put our faith in a new year, month or day but rather in God and what He’s able to do. As God pours out a new month, He doesn’t want us to approach it with an old mindset/mentality like last month but with a mindset that will accommodate the blessings that are ahead of us. There’s no need of going into this new month of June with an old mind! Lets have a new mindset.
THANK YOU KIM!
& Thanks to my band for giving me a reason to believe in music again.
