Vitabu Vyetu Initiative

Posted on Life

Good morning beautiful people!
I hope you slept well and woke up even better. This post is about a lovely initiative by my friend and school mate Wanja Kibuki. (Vitabu Vyetu Founder)

Vitabu vyetu is an initiative that was started because of the urgent need in society to provide quality education to each child.
The people behind the initiative aim at improving the reading culture in schools while reducing the illiteracy rate in the country. They plan to achieve this through organized book drives where they will collect books and donate to deserving homes, libraries, schools and community centers.

The Vitabu Vyetu team is planning a book drive on the 23rd of August at the Good Samaritan home in Huruma and they are aiming to raise 2000 exercise books and 1000 pieces of stationery.

Donations can be made to @wanjakibuki on twitter
Wanja Jacinta on Facebook
You can also call Wanja for details about the book collection process for the August book drive.
Donations can also be made via Mpesa on

I can’t wait for you all to see the vlog interview I had with Wanja.

Till then…
Have an amazing day!!
