I love my Nairobi.
It is the city in the sun with the warmest people and the most beautiful vibe. Although I get overwhelmed sometimes when I walk in town I always have moments where I look around and truly appreciate the beauty around me. It is in the people, in their smiles, in the way drivers stop for pedestrians to cross the road, in the energy of the vendors calling your name, in the dusty streets we all have to pass with new shoes…
The beauty in Nairobi is in everything!!
I recently visited the Maasai Market and was in awe of the amazing cultural artifacts that the vendors had to offer.
All around me was a variety of vibrance and colour and awesome good vibes. The fact that the sun was shining definitely added to the happy spirit around me.
I felt like the realest tourist because I had a big khaki backpack and shades on. It was really hard for me to choose from all the gorgeous jewels, bags and masks that they had displayed.
These are the gorgeous pieces I managed to get…
The maasai market takes place every week and I would strongly recommend everyone to visit the place at least once in their life! You will definitely leave with beautiful handmade crafts and an overwhelming sense of pride for our culture!
