The “Breaking Taboo Through My Lens” is a Human Rights photography and film competition organized by the Student Consortium for Human Rights Advocacy (SCOHRA) in partnership with Amnesty International Kenya drawing expertise from LightBox Africa.
The competition targets young people in Universities and seeks to engage them using their imagination, creative, observation and analytic skills as well as life experiences to produce photography, imagery or short films aimed at raising awareness on mainly three Human Rights issues that are regarded as normal whereas they are Human Rights Violations.
The three issues to be highlighted during the competition are :-
Racial/ tribal prejudice
